Kate Kennedy

Kate Kennedy is a creative producer focused on the development, financing, and production of live action films and television series. She blends her business smarts from twenty years in agency and corporate management with show biz experience she’s garnered as a performer.

Her producing projects include festival favorite 1440 and Counting, starring Loretta Devine and Jeremy Ray Valdez, the social justice film Neighbors, Yours to Bury, starring Hannah Aniela and Gerrison Machado (The Power), and A Kid and His Panda, starring Sage Correa (Kidnapped) and Andrew Allan James (Insecure).

Kate's career began as a Wilhelmina fashion model and commercial actress in 1990's Manhattan. She found herself drawn to the business-side of entertainment, spending time at William Morris and ICM, before landing a job as a reader and development executive at Microsoft Multimedia Productions (M3P) -- a division created to develop and purchase proprietary entertainment programming from independent producers for the Microsoft Network (MSN).

Kate later transitioned into marketing and publicity at Edelman PR where she rose through the ranks to Director in under three years managing a team of nine and multi-million-dollar budgets on behalf of consumer entertainment clients including Absolut Vodka, Alloy Entertainment, Barnes& and Xbox among many others.

She has spent the past fifteen years working as an entrepreneur successfully creating, launching, growing, and exiting two companies. In 2016, she sold and returned to entertainment full-time.
